Smaller concentration, yet powerful results:

The benefits of Hyperdilute Radiesse®

Led by authorities in medical and cosmetic dermatology, Dr. Lesley Clark-Loeser, and Dr. Marianna Blyumin-Karasik, Precision Skin Institute strives to be on the leading edge of aesthetic treatments. These investments in the latest techniques and technologies are designed to support the best treatment experience and treatment results at our Davie, Florida, office. Hyperdilute Radiesse® fits in well with our wide range of state-of-the-art services to rejuvenate aging, damaged skin.

What is Hyperdilute Radiesse®?

Our team is proud to offer both “standard” Radiesse® and Radiesse® + (which is formulated with lidocaine for added comfort). These products are soft tissue or dermal fillers, which may be injected into precise points of the face to combat wrinkles and other signs of aging. They are formulated with calcium-based particles similar to minerals naturally present in the body. Due to this unique formulation, these particles are naturally and safely absorbed by the body. As this process happens, fresh collagen is left behind to support lasting and renewed plumpness and smoothness. As a twist on Radiesse®, its hyper-dilute form is prepared with saline or lidocaine to dilute the filler. When Radiesse® is diluted to a ratio of at least 1:2, we call it “hyperdiluted.”

What are the benefits of diluting (or hyper-diluting) Radiesse®?

These diluted variants of Radiesse® are versatile and may be appropriate to soften leathery skin, tighten folds, smooth fine lines, repair crepiness, and improve the appearance of cellulite dimples and scars. It may be used on the face, the neck, and other parts of the body. Diluted and hyperdiluted Radiesse® may be especially beneficial for those patients whose skin has sustained a form of damage caused by chronic sun exposure: solar elastosis. This process refers to the breakdown of the collagen and elastin fibers in the skin that contribute to its firmness and elasticity. Additionally, as an alternative to the fully concentrated form of Radiesse®, the hyper-diluted preparation allows for a more even “spread” or distribution of the filler. The benefits of this feature are two-fold:

  • It enhances skin stimulation by increasing the contact between the filler and tissue
  • It minimizes the risk of developing undesirable complications or side effects (such as uneven distribution of the product)

What can I expect after scheduling a consultation at PSI?

During your consultation, we will thoroughly evaluate your skin and needs. We will also review your preferences, goals, and other factors to determine the best injectable product for you (or one of our many other aesthetic therapies available at our Davie, Florida office). Many of these non-surgical procedures can even be combined to optimize your results. If this hyper-diluted approach to Radiesse® is right for you, it can be injected with or without a numbing topical (here again, the + version of Radiesse® contains lidocaine).

The specific techniques used to inject the hyper-dilute depend on the nature and severity of the condition we treat. This form of Radiesse® supports safety and natural results, as does our team’s proficiency in administering this type of filler. However, some injection site redness, bruising, or swelling is not unusual but should subside within one week.
